Writing Reflection #2

        I thought the six word memoirs went really well. I thought it was a fun writing activity and found it really easy. Once I looked at the list of themes it didn't take me long to think of something related to it and was about me and my life. I've learned that I can be really creative when I sit and take the time to think about it. I never really thought I could think of things like that.

       So far blogging hasn't been that bad. I find it hard to keep up with it and I think if we had a little more classtime to work on them, mine would be a lot more successful. If I had to set a goal, it would be to keep up with my personal additions this week. I'm going to try and remember to do them and hopefully I will get caught by the end of the week.

Reading Reflection #2

          My last part ended off with Katniss finding out that they have been using the same background footage of district 13 whenever they were filming a story about it. Why would they do that? Did they just not want to travel out there to film the story or are they trying to hide something?

          The next chapter was the wedding for Katniss and Peeta. Throughout this chapter I had a couple questions going through my head while I was reading. They had a bunch of gowns layed out for her and I wondered which one she was going to wear. Was she going to pick it or have it picked for her? Was Katniss really going to go through with the whole wedding? As I read on it ended up happening and all my questions were answered.

          The last part I read was when Katniss was watching the video of her wedding and they were announcing what was going to happen for the Quarter Qwell. The Quarter Qwell is for every 25th Hunger Games, they do something special for the games. Before I read it I had a thought that they might do something like put Katniss back in the Games or maybe her sister. At the end of the chapter I found out I was right, they were going to choose a boy and a girl only from the previous victors for each district. The only thing is that District 12 has only had one female winner, Katniss.

Writing Reflection #1

So far blogging hasn't been as bad as I thought it was going to be. I wasn't really looking forward to it at the beginning of the semester but I have realised it isnt actually that bad. I enjoyed doodling and thought it was really easy to just draw what comes to mind and you could never be wrong. I have to admit, I haven't really kept up with my personal additions but I will start to try harder to keep up with them. My favorite thing that we have done so far would have to be the listography doodle. I hope to be able to do more doodling later on in the semester.

Reading Reflection #1

            Over the past couple weeks I have been reading “Catching Fire” by Suzanne Collins. It is the sequel to the popular book “The Hunger Games”. I read the first book and it was so good that I just had to read the sequel. I think Suzanne Collins is a really talented author but you really have to pay attention when you`re reading otherwise you will have tons of questions and will have to go over things again.

 I just started reading part 2 of the book and already had lots of questions in my head. It starts off with Katniss going out into the woods and encounters a group of people in the shack by the lake. I instantly wondered who these people were and why were they there. I didn’t know if they were going to hurt Katniss or what they were going to do? One of the people was limping and I was wondering what happened to her.Eventually as I read on, my questions were answered. They had escaped from district 8 and were running away to district 13. I was confused because there was no district 13, it had been completely destroyed years ago, so why did they want to go there? What were they expecting to find? They seem to think there are still people living underground there and they want to go live with them. It made me wonder, were there really still people living there?

Throughout what I read, I had made a couple predictions that I thought were going to happen. At first, I had thought the people at the lake were going to go home with Katniss and fight the rebellion with her but that didn't happen. After I found out that wasn't true, I thought they might continue going to district 13 to see if there really were people still living there but I don't know if that is what happened yet. The next part was when Katniss went back home and suddenly the fence was alive with electricity and she was trapped on the outside. I had predicted that Katniss was just going to wait and see if it shuts off but I was wrong again. So as you can see, I am not very good at predicting things so hopefully in the future I will think more and pay more attention before I predict something.

My Listography Doodle!

I did my Listography doodle on things that I want to do before I die. These things are snowboard down a mountain, get married and have kids, graduate high school and university, go to Hawaii or travel in general, go to a jets game, and go skydiving!

When I searched my name under google, nothing came up about me, it was all these law's that have nothing to do with me so I think I have a pretty clean digital footprint represent by the footprint coming out of the shower all clean. I also added the logos of some of the apps I use the most.

My name is Brady and this is my blog for my Creative Writing English class. Im an out going person and I hope that will show in my blogging. I enjoy playing sports, being around friends and family and being outdoors. I'm sure most of my blogs will be related to these activities.
