Final Mark!
If I had to come up with a final percentage mark for my blog, I would say around an 80%. I feel I worked hard and did good keeping up with all the reading and writing reflections and posting pictures on my blog. I only had one thing missing before today and I finished it so I have everything on my blog that needs to be on it. The only thing that would really affect my mark would be the lack of personal additions which is why I didn't say anything in the 90's or high 80's. I feel I put in a solid effort that deserves an 80% or higher.
Personal Addition #4
So the CFL season is just around the corner and for this personal addition I'm going to predict what I think the standings are going to look like at the end of the season. I tired this with the NHL playoffs and turned out being completely wrong, hopefully this time I will do a little better!
WEST: EAST:
BC 12-6 Winnipeg 12-6
Calgary 10-8 Montreal 11-7
Edmonton 9-9 Hamilton 10-8
Saskatchewan 6-12 Toronto 8-10

Writing Reflection #9
@Cre8tiveHavoc WR. I think tweeting is going well, I've learnt a lot about it since I first started. Highlight: retweet from Alex Suber
Reading Reflection #9
@Cre8tiveHavoc RR. Catching Fire (253) so far I'm really enjoying the book. It always captures my attention unlike most books I try to read

My Final Thoughts!
This semester has come and gone, it feels like just
yesterday when we first started this course. Now we only have 5 days left in
our high school lives. To be honest, this course didn’t turn out being what I
thought it would be but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
My favorite assignment this semester
was the newspaper blackout poetry. I found it very fun scanning through the
articles trying to put together sentences and make a poem. I feel I did pretty well
on it and it ended up making me a more creative person than I used to be. My
least favorite assignment would be “The Moment” assignment. At first I didn’t really
understand how to do it and by the time I found out what to do, it was too
late. I feel I could do better now, knowing what I was actually supposed to do.
The Friday reading was one of my
favorite parts of this course. I always looked forward to Fridays and being
able to just sit back and read. The only bad part about the Friday reading was
the Monday writing reflections. I didn’t like having to stop reading and write
on the post it notes. It did help make it easier to do the reflections on Mondays
but I still didn’t enjoy it.
I didn’t really mind the whole WRN
thing. We didn’t use it very much except for notes and a couple assignments.
The thing we used more was our blogs. I was kind of iffy about the whole blog
thing. I never really stayed caught up on the personal additions which I think
are what affected my mark the most. Other than that, I thought it was pretty
cool using a blog to present our work. Near the end of the semester, we started
using twitter in class. I never had a twitter account before this class and
always thought it was a little stupid but now I use it all the time. I found it
fun using something like twitter in the classroom.
I found this class used technology a
lot. When I first signed up for this class, a creative WRITING class, I didn’t
think we would be using any technology besides maybe laptops once in a while to
type things we wrote, boy was I wrong, but not in a bad way. Using technology
makes learning more fun in my mind.
During this semester, I have learned
a lot about myself and my reading and writing ability. I’ve learned that I have
a fairly good reading ability even though I don’t read that often. Hopefully I
will start to read more in the future. As a writer, I’ve learned that I can be
a lot more creative than I thought I could be. This class has helped me a lot
in becoming more creative which is actually something I can use in future life
unlike all the stuff we learn in biology and chemistry.
I think Ms. McLauchlan did a great
job teaching this course and the whole idea of involving technology into our
learning. Kids now a days use technology all the time, everywhere they go, so
incorporating it into our learning makes it more fun and makes kids want to
learn. She made class a lot more exciting than just writing notes and reading
through a textbook. If I had any advice for future creative writing students,
it would be to always keep up with your blog maintenance and don’t forget about
personal additions. The only thing I regret is not taking a couple minutes once
in a while to add a personal addition to my blog. Other than that, it was a fun
class and I’m sad that its over.

Now What?
So now what? Now I have this list of all these things I want to do before I die. Where do I go from here? Do I actually try and do as many of these things as I can, or do I just crumple it up and throw it in the garbage? I’d like to think that this project has made me realize that all these things on my list are possible if I really want to do them. With that said, I want to actually do something about this list and throughout my life, if I have the chance to do these things, I want to do it. Since making this list, I have already crossed a few things off. These things include #12 Swim in the ocean and #23 Go ziplining through the forest. Both of these things were crossed off during my recent vacation to Mexico. The resort I stayed at was right on the shore of the ocean so the first day there I jumped in the ocean and crossed off number 12 from my list. One of the days, we went on an excursion to a ziplining resort in these giant trees on the side of a mountain. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Soaring from tree to tree looking around at the amazing view was incredible. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip! So I’ve crossed off two things so far and plan on crossing off many more before I die!
Authors Note
When I first heard that we had to think of things we want to do before we die, I thought that it would be one of the easiest things in the world, I was wrong. After the first dozen or so, I realized it was going to be a lot harder than I thought. What do I really want to do before I die? After a while of concentrating, I finally had my list of 100 things I wanted to do before I die. It mainly consisted of a lot of travelling and doing extreme things in crazy places (ex. #22 Go Snowboarding in Switzerland) and also had a lot of things related to sports (ex. #7 Attend a NFL game). Making my list wasn’t the only hard part though, after that I had to chose which 25 I wanted to visually represent and how I wanted to represent them. I had to try and turn to my creative side to think of different ways to represent my 25 list items. I don’t quite have the best creative side but I tried my best. Doing this project and thinking of all the different things I want to do before I die really inspired me to actually want to go out and try to accomplish all the things on my list. It has given me motivation to go out and live my life to the fullest and not hold back on doing things I want to do. Watching “The Buried Life” in class has really made me realize that it is possible to do anything if you put your heart and soul into it. The guys from the buried life really inspire me as well as entertain me. They are a funny bunch of guys and I hope to be as adventurous and motivated as they are when it comes to crossing things off my list.
